UPDATE:  The ResponseWare teams have recently experienced testing success with a new configuration to address the identified issues. A stress test will be conducted today to assess if the combination can be deployed to a live environment.  Simultaneously, the teams are also working with experts to deploy potential fixes to address core of the issues on our internal, development environment.

UPDATE:  After a patch was installed last week to aid in the diagnosis and correction of the identified ResponseWare issues, our team has made several configuration adjustments that have tested well and have not produced the issues since implementation.  Further testing is still required, but results are promising and our team is confident the current adjustments will continue to experience positive momentum towards a complete resolution.  Please note that our team continues to work diligently together and with field experts to provide a reliable and stable ResponseWare environment.

Updates Regarding Intermittent ResponseWare Session Issues - 3/8

UPDATE: On Sunday, 3/8, a new version of ResponseWare will be released to provide customers a significantly improved user experience. After a stress test conducted on 3/7, and with extensive testing over the last two weeks by our ResponseWare team, the current adjustments in the latest production (live) build of ResponseWare will notably reduce the likelihood of the identified issues affecting our customers.  Our ResponseWare team will continue to work diligently to ensure a complete resolution, but are confident the latest release will produce a positive user experience.

ResponseWare Session Issues Resolved

On Sunday, 3/30, a final patch was released to fully resolve the recent issues experienced with ResponseWare sessions.  The resolution has been fully tested and approved by our Quality Assurance team in order for release into the production (or live) ResponseWare environment.  After extensive testing for a period of three weeks with a large number of sessions, the current adjustments in the latest build will eliminate the identified issues affecting our customers.  Installation of the patch has resulted in the inability of our team to reproduce the original errors.  Since the initial patch released on 3/8, we have received no further reports of customer incidents.

Thank you for your patience as our teams worked diligently to pursue a complete resolution.  Our teams are confident that the latest patch will restore the expected reliability of our ResponseWare solution in order to effectively poll students via our web-based solution and accurately collect results.  Your continued support of our company and products is truly appreciated.

Insight 360 Cloud Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the relaese of Insight 360 Cloud (v3.0).  This latest version shifts software to a subscription-based licensing model through the Turning Account, which simplifies and secures all solutions provided by Turning Technologies in a central unified account system.  Insight 360 Cloud web applications expand compatibility to include Chromebooks and Chrome browsers.  Current Insight 360 users can continue using their software, but will have the opportunity to upgrade to Insight 360 Cloud.  All accompanying Android apps are currently available.  iOS apps have been submitted and are pending approval from Apple.
 
Insight 360 Cloud includes Standard and Mobile editions.  Insight 360 Cloud Teacher App remotely pilots the application, providing greater instructor mobility during lessons. Student apps are now compatible with Chromebooks and Chrome browsers and allow learners to participate in a variety of activities, including unique constructed response questions to employ critical thinking skills and display work.

  • Turning Account: Access and manage all Turning Technologies’ solutions from centralized account system.
  • Student App for Chromebooks and Chrome Browsers: Unlimited student and teacher access through iOS, Android and Chrome devices.

RRRF-03/04 Firmware Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the upcoming release of new RF (RRRF-04) and RF+ (RRRF-03) Receiver firmware.  Firmware has been updated in conjunction with the Insight 360 Cloud release.

Enhancements:

  • Added ability for Sticker ID login mode when using Insight 360 Cloud with QT Device

Please note that the receiver firmware is compatible with all the other programs that support the RRRF-03/04 receiver.  If using programs other than Insight 360 Cloud, the factory ID will be recorded from the QT Device, not the assigned (sticker) ID.

All new RF and RF+ receiver orders  will include the new firmware.  Firmware is also available through the hardware updater.

Turning Account v1.2.0 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of Turning Account v1.2.0.  

Turning Account v1.2.0 is available at account.turningtechnologies.com. For new users, new account creation will require e-mail verification. Once the account is created, users can redeem a license or register a device to the account. New and existing users will see a revised interface, including a dashboard screen. Support has been added to change or add e-mail addresses within accounts.

Notes for Turning Account v1.2.0 include:

  • New users will now have an improved registration process.
  • Organization Administrators will be able to now view all users within their organization.
  • All users will now be able to have and join a Turning Account participant list regardless of their selected role.
  • All users will have access to 1GB of Cloud File Storage. This feature is currently in a Beta form.
  • When users log into Turning Account, they will be automatically logged into all other Turning Technologies web applications.  This will reduce the number of times a user needs to log into our products.
  • Users will be able to change their email address on their account if they are not a part of an organization.
  • Users will have a quick link to our Technical Support team within the footer of the webpage.

TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.0 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.0.  

TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.0 is only available on the Turning Account server at account.turningtechnologies.com. TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.0 will be updated for v6.1.0 customers that have automatic updates enabled. TurningPoint Cloud instructors running ResponseWare sessions will be REQUIRED to update to the latest TurningPoint Cloud release. Instructor Turning Accounts have been notified via an e-mail reminder of the impending, required update for use with ResponseWare.

ResponseWare v2.4.0 / ResponseWare v2.2.0 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of ResponseWare v2.4.0 for browser-based applications and ResponseWare v2.2.0 for iOS and Android devices.


ResponseWare v2.2.0 is now available on the Google Play Store™ and ResponseWare v2.2.0 for iOS will be available to download via the App Store℠. If ResponseWare users have auto-update functionality enabled on devices, no action is necessary. If not, a manual update must take place once the app sends a notification. If a participant opens the app without updating it, it will notify them that an update must occur to continue using the app.

Notes for ResponseWare v2.2.0 and ResponseWare Web 2.4.0 include:

Insight 360 Cloud Desktop v3.1.1 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of Insight 360 Cloud Desktop v3.1.1.  

Insight 360 Cloud Desktop v3.1.1 is available within the Insight 360 Message Center and via the Turning Account server at account.turningtechnologies.com. This latest version expands software compatibility to include the usage of Gen 2 response devices and the Gen 2 HID receiver. New feature includes single sign-on (SSO) with a Turning Account. Current Insight 360 Cloud users will be required to manually download v3.1.1 from their Turning Account.

Notes for Insight 360 Cloud Desktop v3.1.1 include:

TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.1 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.1.

TurningPoint Cloud v6.2.1 addresses issues and bugs within the software.

Notes for TurningPoint Cloud v.6.2.1 include:

  • Addressed issue where incorrect slide was shown on ResponseWare devices when using VM Ware, or in some cases a multi monitor set up
  • Issue where Continue Session in PowerPoint Polling did not update Participant List dropdown menu
  • Various DPI issues
  • Corrected ability to set Attendance Shortcut key same as other shortcuts
  • Scroll bar behavior in Results Manager
  • When using custom questions Anywhere Polling now displays the question when polling has begun
  • Corrected password dialog hidden behind other window issue.

Turning Account Server Issues

Turning Account/TurningPoint Cloud - Setting Up an Offline Password

To use TurningPoint Cloud when you are not connected to the internet, you must set up an offline password. In order to set up an offline password, you must be connected to the internet.

Access Turning Technologies’ instructions for setting up an offline password.

Please note that setting up an offline password is not available to Single Sign-On users. When signed in to TurningPoint Cloud offline, online features (ResponseWare and Integrations) will not be available.
