Mac Releases Now Available

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of TurningPoint AnyWhere 3.0.4, ResultsManager 1.2.4, and TurningKey 1.2.4 all for Mac. See below for what's new in our updated versions.

TurningPoint AnyWhere 3.0.4 (Mac) Adjustments:

  • Resolved Correct/Incorrect values in chart window when using questions with point values.
  • Resolved issue with comparing questions and displaying leaderboards when toggling correct/incorrect chart answers in Session Viewer.
  • Resolved issue with Device ID highlighting after column sort when Participant List contains duplicate Device IDs.
  • Misc cosmetic fixes.
  • Resolved the connection issue with the Sakai Integration with CAS authentication.
  • Resolved issue with the Sakai User ID and Login ID fields being switched in downloaded Participant Lists.
  • Added support for Mac OS 10.7.
  • Added support for Turning Technologies Long Range Receiver version 4.7.
  • Device IDs that have been registered in Performance Matters are now populated in the participant list through the LMS Integration Wizard.

ResultsManager 1.2.3 (Mac) Adjustments:

  • Resolved the Sakai Login ID and Sakai User ID switch when you import the Participant List.
  • Added support for Mac OS 10.7.
  • Device IDs that have been registered in Performance Matters are now populated in the participant list through the LMS Integration Wizard.

TurningKey 1.2.3 (Mac) Adjustments:

  • Added support for Mac OS 10.7.
  • Added support for Turning Technologies Long Range Receiver version 4.7.
  • Device IDs that have been registered in Performance Matters are now populated in the participant list through the LMS Integration Wizard.

Update to K-12 Standards

Newest updates of our K-12 standards are now available in our software products. In order to update your standards, please follow the steps below. You MUST ensure you have an active Internet connection to proceed.

  1. From the Standards Window, click "Add/Remove Standards."
  2. Uncheck the box (or boxes) next to the state’s name.
  3. Click “done” or “apply changes."
  4. Open the Standards Window again and click "Add/Remove Standards."
  5. Check the box (or boxes) next to the state’s name.
  6. Click “done” or “apply changes."

TestingPoint End of Life

Turning Technologies is announcing the discontinuation of sales, support, and development of its TestingPoint application. TestingPoint will be supported until June 1, 2012. However, there will be no new sales of the product after September 30, 2011.

Turning Technologies feels that the development and continued improvement to the company’s newest self-paced testing application, TurningKey®, offers customers an improved solution to summative assessment. Turning Technologies believes the resources required to maintain and support TestingPoint can be better allocated to enhance existing and new products that better fulfill market needs.

TurningPoint 4.3.2:

  • PowerPoint closes when adding a large number of participants with voting weights to a participant list.
  • When responding with a ResponseCard NXT, on a multiple response slide, the answer choice “0/J” was not being accepted.
  • Resolved the connection issue with the Blackboard integration.
  • Resolved the connection issue with the Sakai Integration with CAS authentication.
  • Allowed for the export of partial point values in the Export Wizard.

  • Resolved the connection issue with the Blackboard integration.

New Presenter Device PresenterCard Coming Soon

PresenterCard is a radio frequency hardware device that interacts with TurningPoint and TurningPoint AnyWhere. It allows presenters to be mobile while polling a classroom/audience. In addition, presenters have the ability to customize the device to control how they operate polling.

PresenterCard with TurningPoint Features:

  • Start/Stop button and Forward button will advance PowerPoint and open polling on TurningPoint slides.
  • Back button will go back in PowerPoint.
  • Show/Hide button will blackout or show presentation.
  • Ability to customize programmable buttons based on user's preference.

 

PresenterCard with TurningPoint AnyWhere Features:

  • Start/Stop button will start/stop polling.
  • Show/Hide button will hide TPAW windows.
  • Show/Hide button will show just TPAW showbar.
  • Right Arrow button will advance presentation software slides.

  • Moodle 1.9 with PHP Mcrypt and SOAP enabled

Enhancements:

  • Fully supports the grade book icon display. Will now show Turning Technologies' Logo in the header of the grade book when the grade was imported from TurningPoint.

SLQ Database Note:

  • A single update query is included for users who would like the grade book icons to take effect for grades that have already been imported. This is only necessary for users who had any of our previous Moodle blocks installed.
